Marques sponsor Question Time… in Romsey!

Marques were delighted to sponsor the first Romsey Chamber of Commerce ‘Question Time’ held in Romsey Town Hall in October.

Members of the public were given a chance to put questions across to the panel which was made up of Romsey’s Lib-Dem MP, Sandra Gidley; Roy Perry, the deputy leader of Hampshire County Council, Test Valley mayor, Ian Hibberd, Romsey town mayor, John Ray; the town’s police chief, Inspector Jacquie Willson, and Phoebe Merrick, a local historian and vice-chairman of Romsey and District Society.

Modelled on TV’s Question Time programme, the evening was chaired by chamber executive member, Peter McVean, of Footners Solicitors, an exciting evening of lively debate discussing many local issues.

Over 40 members of the public turned up to discuss a wide range of topics from transport links from Romsey train station to the town centre bus stops and vital new youth programs for the area.

Debbie Allen of Marques Romsey explained that the evening was a huge success for all involved and expects the next meeting in the new year to mirror the same.
